Junior Design Awards 2017 for Best Baby Fashion Brand
As one of our most highly subscribed categories and one that is packed full of innovative and highly covetable pieces, the judges really had their work cut out for them when it came to deciding who should win Best Baby Fashion Brand.
After much cooing, clucking and a little bit of knitwear nuzzling we added a Platinum award to this category to recognise some truly outstanding design.
THE PLATINUM AWARD FOR BEST BABY FASHION BRAND… MARIE CHANTAL FOR MARKS & SPENCER
The judges were unanimous in their praise for high-end childrenswear designer Princess Marie-Chantal’s second collaboration with British high street hero M&S.
Featuring Marie-Chantal’s classic, clean lines and traditional silhouettes with a playful element – think peach tulle skirts and college-style knits – every piece offers the brand’s luxury values at an affordable price.
Refreshingly, the design team behind the range have made sure that the boys collection is just as strong as the girls and includes items that would work for smart day wear as well as occasion wear.
The fantastic quality and fresh Spring/Summer colour palette was commented on by everyone.
Junior Design Awards judge Lisa Mehydene founder of online interiors boutique Edit 58 summed it up with her note:
“Gorgeous quality, nostalgic designs and a wonderful colour palette.”

Designer Rachel Riley impressed is all with her quintessential British aesthetic and exquisite attention to detail, securing a coveted Gold award.
As an independent children’s wear retailer, Rachel continues to design all her pieces in-house and has managed to capture the imaginations of buyers all over the world as well as the royal seal of approval and several celebrity devotees including the Beckhams and Beyoncé.
Celebrity clientele aside, our judges felt that the collection was beautifully made, featured gorgeous prints and trims and designs that could not look cuter on babies.
The fact that all the items would make perfect heirlooms to hand down through the generations was commented upon too.
