Zara are known for shooting with high-end photographers but the campaign for their SS21 collection is next level stunning. To capture the soft, playful feel of their latest clothing drop, Zara commissioned iconic 90’s photographer Mario Sorrenti, who is perhaps better known for shooting Supermodels than a bunch of 9-year olds, no matter how cool they are!
The shoot is titled On My Block and we love the grainy, vintage feel of the images and the unmistakable backdrop of 70’s suburban America. With chopper bikes, shiplap houses and Chevies in the drive, there is a distinct Stranger Things vibe going on, albeit with a softer more sugary palette.
The collection itself is en pointe as usual and although many of the pieces look particularly fabulous against this retro backdrop, they would hold their own in any setting. The thing we like most about this range, is that as well as being fashion lead with gorgeous details like pintucks and blouson cuts – not to mention a great selection of unisex jewellery – these clothes have a real ease about them. As comfortable as they are stylish, these pieces look as if they were made for Summer adventures. Definitely not just for supermodels.
