Stylish beginnings...

Looking at the glossy online children's retailer Childrensalon today, it's hard to imagine that this luxury fashion platform sprang from founder Sybil Harriman's knack for hand smocking at her local sewing circle in Tunbridge Wells. With demand for Sybil's beautiful clothes for children growing, the sewing circle morphed into a team of seamstresses, who were hard pressed to keep up with demand, including orders from royalty and film stars of the day.

Childrensalon's first shop was opened in 1952 and from there the business grew and grew and remains a family run business today. To celebrate this auspicious anniversary, Childrensalon have created a beautiful capsule collection of clothes for boys and girls, with a strong nostalgic feel. Made in collaboration with heritage children's brand Beatrice & George, the clothes nod to Childrensalon founder Sybil's original designs and feature a beautifully reimagined print from the Childrensalon archives, aptly named the Sybil print.

This fresh floral print in varying shades of blue, looks stunning across dresses for girls and shirts for boys, giving the clothes a fresh slightly contemporary feel that embraces Childrensalon's knack for recognising what children love to wear today. Here are our favourite pieces from the collection - perfect for special occasions, weddings and 70th anniversaries... there is even a keepsake furry friend!
