Ranch life at Elkin Creek
For wild rides and water wonders, visit this traditional ranch in the American West
At the Elkin Creek in British Colombia, half of the ranch hands are from the Xeni Gwet’in First Nation tribe. So a visit here is a great opportunity for children to get an insight into Native America. Ride across sacred trails, go looking for wild horses in the Brittany Triangle, visit a nearby Indian school and learn about ancient Native American customs with cultural evenings. Elkin Creek is also ideal for water babies, with lake kayaking, paddle boating and wind surfing on offer as additional activities.
For breaks this August, you can take advantage of a special offer, with one child going free for every two paying adults, a saving of £785. The break is suitable for families with children aged 6 and over.
Seven nights is £1,145pp (adults) and £689 (children aged 6–12) and includes accommodation, meals, most ranch activities and taxes. For further details, visit Ranch Rider.
