WHO: Triclimb Ltd

WHAT: A multifunctional, interconnecting range of climbing toys featuring innovative locking joints. Designed to support physical and cognitive development and encourage imagination and open-ended play.

WHY: This is such a joyful toy on so many levels and all our judges were so impressed by the design, the fun rainbow paint finish and its sheer versatility. They loved the fact that this toy can be configured and adapted into a myriad of exciting shapes and activity inspiring structures. The panel felt this was an exceptional toy for encouraging movement, development and imagination and were very excited that it can be played with indoors or outdoors and can then be easily folded down and stored. The many different accessories such as a reversible slide and climbing ramp, climbing arch/rocker, hammock and wipe board make this climbing toy endlessly entertaining and the fantastic quality of the pieces mean that when they’ve been grown out of they can be handed down.

What an exceptional toy that encourages movement and play with endless possibilities and hours of excitement!

WHO: Matchstick Monkey

WHAT: A fun, soft textured silicone teether containing BioCote® Antimicrobial Technology to keep it hygienically cleaner and providing soothing relief to aching gums

WHY: The Matchstick Monkey Ludo Lion Teether really appealed to our judges who loved the ergonomic, easy to grip shape, the gum soothing nobbles and brush texture and Ludo’s sweet, engaging face. The added benefits of the teether’s inbuilt BioCote® Antimicrobial Technology that protect the teether against a wide range of microbes, including bacteria, mould and viruses was also much praised.

I love this. Both my sons loved it, so it’s always a favourite present to give. Does everything it needs to.

WHO: BRIO – Classic Figure 8 set

WHAT: A beautiful 22-piece wooden train set, full of tactile play features and inspired by classic Scandinavian design. Suitable for children age 2+.

WHY: Everyone on the panel agreed that this was a playroom must-have and would provide hours of fun for girls and boys while developing imaginations, hand eye co-ordination and fine motor skills. The bright colours and cleans lines make this a beautiful toy parents will be proud to have on display in the home and the well made robust pieces are perfect for little hands as well as being tough enough to withstand even the most dramatic train pile-ups.

The toy that lasts all the generations. I have the fondest memories of playing with my BRIO set and it's the same set that I've passed down to my children. Classics will always continue strong.

WHO: Leggybuddy – Prince Froggy Teether

WHAT: A rubber baby toy and teether designed in an elegant and stylish way while having perfect functionality.

WHY: This cute looking, soft rubber teething figure certainly put our judges in a good mood. The panel loved the sweet, engaging design that they felt would really appeal to babies visually, the textured spots on Froggy’s feet, hands and back of the head and eyes for the babies to massage and soothe their gums as well as the fact that this natural rubber teether is very eco-friendly being made from 100% natural rubber and hand-painted with food grade colors which are completely safe for babies to chew on. Great work Prince Froggy!

Absolutely beautifully charming. I love the texture and features of this toy that I'm certain would captivate the attention of any teething little one.
