We can finally reveal the best pushchair designs for 2020 in this year's Junior Design Awards.

JUNIOR DESIGN AWARDS 2020 GOLD WINNER: Best Pushchair Design
WHO: UPPAbaby – CRUZ V2 Stroller
WHAT: An updated design of the UPPAbaby CRUZ, the V2 offers an ‘easy out-of-box experience’. It includes the chassis, toddler seat (with extendable UPF 50+ canopy), bumper bar, rain cover and insect net. Suitable for 6 months+ to 22kg or newborn with the additional bassinet.
WHY: The new streamlined design of the CRUZ V2 gives parents so much more in such a compact package. Designed with both parents and children in mind, new features include dual-action rear suspension paired with front suspension to ensure a softer ride, a downsized smaller fold making it easier to carry and tuck into tight spaces or car boots and 8 new colour ways. The judges noted the new higher back, longer leg rest and deeper footrest making this the ultimate set of stylish wheels for babies and parents.

JUNIOR DESIGN AWARDS 2020 SILVER WINNER: Best Pushchair Design
WHO: Silver Cross – Wave 2020
WHAT: The Wave 2020 is a luxurious single to double travel system which adapts for growing families – with 7 single to double configurations straight from the box.
WHY: Many of our judges were already familiar with the Silver Cross brand and were impressed with this new updated version of an already great design. They agreed the new lighter weight and streamlined design was a bonus – without compromising on a tried-and-trusted pushchair, and gave it better handling and performance. The anti-bacterial bamboo inside the carrycot and thermo-moulded ventilated base (making it suitable for overnight sleeping) and the new reversible seat liner gives it added appeal. The new fabrics, colour ways and design details make it the most beautiful Wave to date.

JUNIOR DESIGN AWARDS 2020 GOLD WINNER: Best Pushchair Design
WHO: The Ark
WHAT: The Ark is a premium travel system thoughtfully designed in the UK by parents who are product designers.
WHY: The Ark designers have literally thought about every detail here, with a focus firmly on useful features for the modern parent and child. The fantastic, extra innovative features the judges loved were the eco and ethically sourced fabrics, the durable puncture-free wheels, the extra 10cm space in the carrycot for growing babies and the sleek, narrow frame (it’s a mere 58cm) which means it goes through standard doors with ease (we also tried it in our small lifts!).
