WHO: Bugaboo Ant

WHAT: Bugaboo’s lightest and most compact stroller yet, offering a smooth and stylish ride with height-adjustable handlebar, one handed steering a reversible seat and the option to convert it into a pull along trolley for rolling through airports and stations.

WHY: Everyone without fail LOVED the Bugaboo Ant. Our judges were so impressed with this new compact Bugaboo that folds down to just 55 x 38 x 23 cm offering incredible convenience and portability without compromising on any of the high spec, innovative features that we come to expect of this buggy giant. The panel’s notes were full of generous praise for the Ant…

The fact this buggy folds down so neatly and compactly is really appealing and it looks great too.

Ok, so it's been a very long time since I used a buggy, but this I found incredibly easy to use, even without instructions!!! The weight was amazing and the way it just folded into nothing was superb!!! Innovative, easy to use, super compact & chic! I loved it and would love using it too!
Samia Khan, Children's Fashion Expert and PR
Its really great to see Bugaboo innovating in this way and catering to the market who lack the space to store large pushchairs.

WHO: Stokke BEAT

WHAT: One of the most compact and lightweight strollers on the market, the BEAT is designed to have a small footprint, and to be maneuvered, folded and lifted with ease. Perfect for city living and busy lifestyles, where speed and efficiency are of the essence.

WHY: Our judges loved the nippy feel of this buggy that is narrow enough to pass any train or subway gate and weighs only 9.5kg. The pared back, Scandi design values that Stokke are famous for were also much appreciated. Other details the judges commented on were the generous shopping basket and the easy, one hand folding mechanism. The panel wrote in their notes:

Stokke is just getting better!! Just when you thought they reached perfection!

WINNER: BRONZE BEST COMPACT PUSHCHAIR DESIGN

WHO: Silver Cross Jet

WHAT: An ultra-compact and super light stroller designed for travel. The folded buggy weighs just 5.9kg and it can easily be carried on board an aircraft and stowed in the overhead lockers, conforming with cabin baggage regulations for all key airlines. Once folded, Jet is freestanding and wheels like a small suitcase.

WHY: The whole concept of easy, organized travel with a buggy that never leaves your side even on a plane, really appealed to the keen travelers on our panel who also loved thoughtful features like the multi-function hood, offering UPF50+ protection, a pop-out sun visor, air-flow ventilation to keep your baby cool and a handy viewing window – all essential for a holiday in the sun or rain. The fact that it can be freestanding once folded was also seen as a huge bonus. Our judges said:

Love that no light gets in through the hood and the peep hole is great. The basket is a good enough size for a travel buggy and love that it folds and can be taken on the plane.
