WINNER: GOLD BEST INTERNATIONAL CHILDREN’S BRAND
WHO: The New Society
WHAT: A feel good fashion label for children age 3-13, aimed at a new, more caring generation who understand that we need to show more kindness towards each other and the planet. With a mix of classic silhouettes and more contemporary stand out pieces, the range is sustainably and ethically produced and designed to be long lasting and timeless.
WHY: Our judges loved the directional feel of these pieces that really stand out from the crowd with bold textures, sophisticated, yet playful cuts and an emphasis on fun. These clothes might look super cool but they are also designed to stimulate the imagination and most importantly, to be played in. The comments from our JDA19 judges were high praise indeed:

WINNER: SILVER BEST INTERNATIONAL CHILDREN’S BRAND
WHO: Jamie Kay
WHAT: An ethically produced brand from New Zealand, creating beautiful, soft cotton pieces for children age 0-6yrs. Using Oeko certified dyes and subtle prints, their colour palette is soft and muted and their silhouettes, though traditional, feel fresh and contemporary rendered in soft textured muslin fabric.
WHY: The beautiful pieces sent in for our judges to pore over were exceptional. Everyone was cooing! The sweetest pinafore style dresses and romper suits in shades of soft blush, lilac and white cotton with delicate detailing appealed to all our judges with a pared back, but romantic aesthetic. WINNER: BRONZE BEST INTERNATIONAL CHILDREN’S BRAND
WHO: Hannah & Tiff
WHAT: An Eastern inspired collection of cotton separates with an emphasis on beautiful quilted jackets and jerkins featuring hand stitching, embroidery and pom-pom flourishes. Printed T-shirts, loose, comfortable silhouettes and block prints give this collection a gentle bohemian feel.
WHY: The quilted jackets and waistcoats are absolutely gorgeous and we loved the faded sunshine colour palette and loose cuts, which give the whole collection a lovely mellow feel. Our judges loved the slightly quirky feel of the collection and felt these pieces would be much loved and then passed on. Our judges said:
