For Spring/Summer 2019 Billieblush and Billybandit pays homage to the Art World.
Inspired by the artists such as impressionist painter “Le Douanier” Henri Rousseau and Picasso. The Billieblush girls collection sees dresses with geometric prints and deconstructed faces in the style reminiscent of the works of Pablo Picasso and a more feminine, floral influence is inspired by of course, artist Frida Kahlo which sees colorful flower prints for partywear, with ruffled skirts and dresses adding a touch of Mexican flamenco flair. Come high summer, the rainbow is the star of the show, inspired by the Pop Art movement.
For special occasions and summer weddings theres more of an Arabic influence taken from Andalusian art scene think mosaics and geometric motifs which splatter dreamy tulle dresses, ruffled skirts and soft t-shirts in cool pastel shades. A maxi dress with cascading ruffled skirt and sequinned bustier is topped with a coordinating sequinned bolero is the hero piece. With the same artistic spirit Billybandit bold, fresh and citrus shades transport us to the heart of Spain, combined with the humorous prints and graphics influenced by Spanish game-chaninging artists Picasso again and Miró. For special occasions, boys suits are structured yet comfortable and easy to wear in light woven cottons which are cool and breezy when teamed with Cubism-inspired with tees and shirts.
