Ever since the gorgeously glossy founder of Net-A-Porter, Natalie Massenet, told Fortune in 2009 that the company had bought the domain, petite-a-porter.com, we have been waited with baited breath for the news to be confirmed. Even though we are still without an actual launch date, the equally glamourous managing director of Net-A-Porter, Alison Loehnis, has confirmed that the childrenswear website is definitely on it's way.

Speaking to Mashable, she said: "We will explore kids. We've had petite-a-porter.com registered for some time. I get asked about home all the time — I'll just leave it out there, say, 'watch the space.' Travel, we're not looking into. But you never know." So, it sounds like home and travel are in the mix too, but with the domain name for childrenswear ready and waiting, there can't be too much longer to wait!

Billing itself as the world's premier online luxury fashion retailer, Net-A-Porter offers labels such as Gucci, Lanvin and Stella McCartney, all of which have childrenswear lines. The E-store, which is linked with menswear site, Mr Porter, and luxury discount site, The Outnet, has recently added a wide collection of luxurious beauty products for sale, suggesting further growth potential.
