Turnberry Resort on the beautiful southwestern coast of Scotland may be best known for golf, but it's a hole-in-one for children, too. A dedicated Outdoor Activity Centre offers family golf lessons, 4x4 driving, horse riding on the stunning beach and kite flying.

Budding golfers can head to the Colin Montgomerie Links Golf Academy for a three-day junior school. Families will love the Little Turnberry Farm where children get to be farmer for the day feeding donkeys, miniature Shetland ponies, goats and sheep.

Inside the hotel, The Wee Explorers Club has a playroom stocked with games and toys, allowing parents time for spa treatments, a round of golf or a lazy afternoon tea.Turnberry offers family rooms in the main hotel and also has Lands of Turnberry self-catering accommodation which can comfortably accommodate up to six people.
