Chapel House, Scotland

Unique Cottages has a huge choice of self-catering rentals across Scotland. New to the portfolio is Chapel House, a detached house in extensive grounds 16 miles southwest of Inverness with the Beauly River just a field away.

The property sleeps six and was once the manse for the local church. It has an extensive sitting room conservatory, with a woodburning stove at one end and large windows and doors opening to a decking area at the other.

The large garden is perfect for both children and pets to enjoy, with gentle Highland cattle usually grazing in the adjoining field.

It’s a haven for lovers of wildlife and perfectly placed to explore three of Scotland’s most beautiful glens, Affric, Cannich and Strathfarrar where osprey, golden eagles, ptarmigan and black grouse can be seen, along with badgers, otters, deer and pine martens.

The glens offer superb walking, cycling families have plenty of quiet roads and forest tracks to enjoy and there are good and very scenic golf courses close by. Seven nights costs from £495, is another good source of rural Scottish self-catering rentals,
