The Gallivant, Rye, East Sussex

The white decor and the beachside location of The Gallivant Hotel provide an air of serenity to this contemporary hotel. However, visitors also receive a warm family welcome amid the light and airy surroundings. The Gallivant sits opposite Camber Sands and eight miles of uninterrupted golden sand. There’s children’s entertainment in the Beach Café on Christmas Eve, including cake making, followed by a visit from Father Christmas and a relaxed informal Christmas Eve Supper. Christmas Day starts with a champagne breakfast, and bracing walks on the beach to get some fresh sea air before a fabulously cooked traditional Christmas Day lunch. An afternoon movie will then be shown in the lounge. Opt for a lazy lie-in on Boxing Day or you can make the most of the Boxing Day brunch that’s served from midday. The Three-Night Escape includes three nights’ accommodation, festive meals and activities from £310 per person, based on two adults sharing; children aged three to seven staying in their parents’ room costs from £95 per night; 8-10 years, £130.
