Junior Meets: 2013 Junior Design Award Shortlisted Family Tour Operator, Tots Too
Tots Too were shortlisted in our category for Best Family Tour Operator. Co-founder Emma Barnett gives us her travel recommendations
What are your three family holiday hotspots?
Oman is such a treasure trove of things to discover, all within a reasonable flight from the UK. The Omani people are charming and its feels like such a peaceful and preserved country unlike its neighbouring more built-up countries. There’s a lovely climate most of the year round. Children will enjoy exploring the sand dunes wadis (dried up river-beds). For older children there’s quad-biking through the desert.
Sardinia is a short distance but a world away from home. Everything from the food to the beautiful beaches, nowhere is as welcoming to children as the Italian Riviera!
Children will love island living in the Maldives. This is a fantastic place to introduce young ones to marine life, snorkelling and diving. It's safe, offers year-round sunshine and is worth going the extra mile for. The seaplane or speedboat transfer to the islands is in itself a huge adventure.
Which children’s activities should not be missed at the resorts you work with?
Many of our hotels have their own organic farms or gardens. Children can have fun exploring and watch how food is picked fresh for use in the hotel kitchens - fun and educational! Maldives resorts offer a huge array of sea life adventures including dolphin and turtle feeding, whale watching and shell collecting. Beach horseriding can be enjoyed in Casablanca and desert safaris in Oman.
What are your three must-have items to pack in a suitcase when travelling as a family?
Calpol, digital entertainment of some sort and wet wipes.
If you had to sum your business up in a sentence, what would it be?
An honest family holiday company that delivers exactly what it promises; paradise for parents and the tots too.
