Lego Friends Jungle Base: Best Toy Design (6+ Years), Junior Design Awards 2014 SHORTLISTED
What the brand says, what the judges thought and where to buy...
Animal rescue missions can be coordinated from the LEGO Friends Jungle Rescue Base. There’s a watchtower to help Andrea look for animals in danger through the telescope. A slide leads directly to the raft, so Andrea can reach the panda in distress and Stephanie can check it over in the mobile medical station using the thermometer, stethoscope and ice pack. A zip line slides down to the living quarters where the girls can take a shower in the outdoor bathroom and cook and eat dinner together before heading to bed. There’s even a rotating fan to keep the Friends cool!
1. Children aged five to 12 can help the girls as they work together as a team, showing bravery and power to solve different challenges and overcome the various dangers the jungle has to throw at them.
2. The set combines the opportunity for realistic role-play, creativity, and a highly detailed, character-based world with the core values of LEGO building.
"A fun base from which to create exciting play adventures. Interesting to see a jungle design."
