“When thinking about which resort to book for the family, make sure that you are taking into consideration everyone’s needs. Families looking for great value for money this season should look at Austria and Italy this ski season. Resorts such as Zermatt are very expensive and prove to be not great value for money for families.
1: Cervinia, Italy
“This makes for great skiing for all the family. It’s a medium sized resort with a mix of runs to suit all abilities. For the more adventurous family members, there is also the opportunity to ski over the border in Switzerland.”
2: Serre Chevalier, France
“One of the best resorts for family skiing, with the big, varied mountain offering something for all the Family.”
3: Ellmau, - Skiwelt Austria
“This quiet charming resort has everything that families need, with a large number of nursery runs and easy runs for intermediate skiers. Expert skiers can venture off into the SkiWelt circuit the largest linked area in Austria. It is good value for money too with four well respected ski schools”
4: La Plagne, Paradiski France – “Lots of great intermediate runs and good nursery slopes, with plenty to challenge the expert skier too. The Vanoise Express cable car linking to Les Arc opens up a whole new area to the more adventurous skiers”
5: Pila Valley d’Aosta Italy – “A great medium sized resort that most skiers should be able to navigate within a week, snow sure yet with a sunny aspect and great views across the valley to the Matterhorn and Mont Blanc”
