Ultra-luxury ski operator Descent has hired Jane Fearnley-Whittingstall – mother of television chef Hugh and author of The Good Granny Guide – to devise the children’s meals served in their chalets even more delicious, filled with nutritious ingredients to provide energy for the following day’s skiing. Chocolate brownies are laced with hidden beetroot, and pancakes are filled with raspberry purée. The chefs also invite children into the kitchen to make drop scones and decorate their shepherd’s pie with pea smiles.
Descent’s fabulous Yellowstone chalet at Sainte Foy in the French Alps costs from £6,036 per week for a family of four, including outdoor hot tub, chauffeur-driven 4x4s, breakfast, dinner and drinks.
