River Island Spring/Summer 2012

Miami came to London for a flying visit at River Island’s SS12 press day. The room was ablaze with colour; bright pink and lilac walls, and neon lights warning us ‘don’t be a square’. As we entered this tropical summer of Palm Beach neon faded denim, we soon forgot the cold grey sky outside.

There were prints-a-plenty for the girls; pretty flower tunics, lots of patterns and ethnic notes, lace detailing, colour pop trousers in every shade. For the accessories; mini basket-like satchels and printed scarves. The boys selection was slightly more played down, but just as interesting in blue hues, greys and burnt orange. Ethnic print faded tees with neck scarves, spotted collars, fun prints and colourful chinos.
