Harrods’ top toys for Christmas 2012 unveiled

The big news this Christmas at Harrods is the opening of a new toy zone, called the Toy Kingdom.
As the world famous store readies itself for Christmas 2012, you’ll find exclusive Harry Potter inspired Gryffindor scarfs and jumpers as well as London-themed wooden bus and train sets – a nod to the current tussle between retro and modern trends.
The much-anticipated revival of the Cabbage Patch Doll and Furby find their place on Harrods’ deep shelves, alongside new favourite, the Boo Hou dogs.
Harrods has given the new Monopoly Millionaire game and Lego sorting head its seal of approval, placing them top of its pick of the best.
Harrods’ Toy Kingdom is sending ripples through the toy world with exciting new find Nanodots, magnetic marble style balls you can create models from. Seedling’s design-your-own superhero cape set, aeroplane and fashion sets solidify Harrods' desire to support old-fashioned play. Deglingos animals are Harrods’ wild card suggestion, while firm favourite Barbie makes a festive appearance.
Edible Hansel and Gretel style hampers topped Harrods’ list of foodie must-haves, while the Sleeping Santa miniature cakes are set to be the big seller for international shoppers.
You can take home a piece of Harrods history too, with just three La Maison du Chocolat Christmas trees in store throughout the festive months.
