As always, Flax PR had an abundance of gorgeous samples for us to peruse at the Christmas press preview for 2012. A new label in the mix was Hedgehog - a veritable collection of treasures for children, including dressing up costumes, toys and activity packs. The clothing is timeless and the gifts are classic, perfect for any discerning parent and child. We love the red racing car and can picture it being raced around past the tree and startled looking grandparents on Christmas Day.
Caramel Baby & Child, winner of Best UK Fashion Brand in the Junior Design Awards 2012, presented a beautiful selection of dresses that would be perfect for the party season. From cap sleeved chiffon sorbet colours to embrodiered Elizabethan inspired gowns, there is something fabulous to suit every little girl's taste. For boys, the mustard colour we associate so much with Caramel is splashed over cardigans and teamed with navy tapered trousers.
For presents for mum, we picked out the ever-popular Eve Lom skincare range, which was shortlisted in the Best Pampering Category in the Junior Design Awards 2012. Especially the rose infused TLC cream. Also, the subtley chic reed diffusers by Timothy Han. Or if thinking of splashing out a little more, THEA by Emilie Duchane presented an elegant collection of bespoke rings in which any name or word can be added. Kate Moss and her daughter already have one each, so you would be in great company.
Cath Kidston is as cute as ever, not to mention the sweet His 'n' Her's slippers which come in adult and child sizes so you can all match on Christmas Day. The statement jumper this year is a blue and red trimmed dog design for boys and a pony design for girls. Cath Kidston also offers a delightful range of decorations for Christmas, which are always retro-inspired, but which this year fits in with the nostaligia decoration trend perfectly. The deer print, which appears on everything from oven gloves to napkins, reminds us of the Babycham deer - happy days!
