It's the time of year that can induce fear in the hearts of even the hardiest of shoppers. Christmas shopping can be blighted by hoardes of crowds, especially with a child or two in tow. Cue the arrival of online shopping emporium, Gilt.com, which launches on 18 November here in the UK and will, in total, now be available to over 90 countries. With five million members already using the discount shopping store, where prices are up to 60 per cent of the RRP, it's certainly worth a look at what they have to offer.

As an online shopping destination, Gilt offers fashion for men, women and children; home decor; leisure activities; hotels and travel and even food. You do need to be a member to enjoy shopping, but this is easily solved (and free) by logging on and giving your email address. The benefits being that not only is everything in one place, a glamourous kind of one-stop-shop, but you are then privvy to their flash sales and discount prices.

They also offer those hard to find items, such as vintage item sales which have included Rolex watches, guitars and cars. Covetable fashion labels for children include favourites such as D&G Junior, Marie-Chantal and Diesel. The discounts and flash sales are for limited periods only and it is worth signing up and keeping an eye out for the perfect presents for the whole family; without the stress of pounding the high street.

Ooh this online shopping platform does look enticing. I will check out about it on Best Viva and see whether it is genuine or not. These days, you simply cannot trust anyone.
