Funky lunch: Feline Peckish sandwich

Make a sweet kitten-shaped sandwich with a cute little cucumber and cheese nose

Posted: 20 September 2011
by Junior

Ingredients

Bread
Sandwich filling of your choice
Cucumber
Cheese
Ham or red apple skin

Method

1 Make your sandwich using your favourite filling and then cut out an oval shape with two pointed ears for the head.

2 Cut some lengths of cucumber skin and cut them into six thin strips to make whiskers. Poke the strips into the bread to hold the whiskers in place. You can also use thin slices of spring onion to make the whiskers.

3 Cut two small eyes from the cucumber skin and make the nose from circles of cucumber and cheese. Make the mouth from a piece of cucumber skin cut into a tripod shape.

4 Finally, cut out two triangles of ham, or red apple skin if preferred, and place one inside each of the ear shapes.
