Serves 2

Ingredients

A carrot, peeled and sliced into matchsticks
 1/4 Chinese cabbage, shredded
A handful of peas
1/4 o f a broccoli head, broken up
50g (2oz) of rice noodles

Method

Bring a pot of water to the boil and add the vegetables, starting with the carrots, as they will take about five minutes longer than the rest. Then add the noodles and cook to your liking.

This mixture can be puréed smooth for babies or left chunkier for older children. As your little ones continue to grow, you can add bolder and meatier ingredients such as tofu and chicken.

Mine love this dish fried in olive oil with soy sauce, a little sesame oil and a good scattering of sesame seeds.
