Movember, the charity initiative that sees 'Mo Bros' worldwide growing sponsored moustaches to raise funds and awareness for men's health issues, has published it's first cookbook Cook Like A Man. Here, Junior brings you a sneak peek of the cookbook's suitably robust recipes, sure to prove popular with little men and ladies alike.

Ingredients

6 apples
75g ground almonds
15ml honey
15g Demerara sugar
25ml apple brandy
85g sultanas
3g ground cinnamon
60g softened butter
45g chopped apricots

Method

Mix all of the ingredients together, except the apples, and leave to macerate at room temperature for 1 hour. Core the apples and fill with the mix; any excess mixture can be pressed on top. Bake in the oven at 180°C until the apples are soft. Any liquid and excess mixture can be poured into a small pan, brought to the boil and stirred until the mixture has thickened and created a sauce.

To serve

Place the apples on a large plate and pour over the extra sauce. Serve with crème fraîche
