Some 250 international dancers and musicians from around the world will be performing in the principality as part of the Monaco Dance Forum, a prestigious 11-day festival of ballet. Families can also get in the mood for the festive season with a visit to the quaint Christmas market and be dazzled by the stunning Christmas lights in Casino Square. Go ice skating by the harbour and visit the city’s excellent Oceanographic Museum. Two nights’ B&B at the Columbus Hotel December 9–20 costs from €350 per person, with children under 12 staying free of charge.
