Make a game in your family of doing secret things to help others, then have a meeting once a week to discuss what you have done to help a teacher, school friend, sibling, parent or neighbour.

Send a letter or get well soon card to a child suffering from a serious illness via Postpals.

Help your child to create and frame an artwork to give as a gift to a relative or neighbour.

Get fundraising inspiration and download a free fundraising kit from Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity

Encourage a culture of giving in your house by encouraging your child, each time she receives a present or new toy, to give one away to a local charity shop or even to a friend who might enjoy playing with it.
