Summer holiday heaven in Phuket

Child-friendly facilities in luxurious surroundings at the Angsana Laguna Phuket

If the decidedly erratic British weather has you rethinking your summer staycation in Cornwall and pondering sunny shores that are a little further flung, allow us to fuel your imagination by introducing the Angsana Laguna Phuket.

Based on the shores of Thailand’s stunning Bang Tao Bay, this luxurious spa hotel is one of five residences that make up Laguna Phuket, a unique destination resort stretching over 1000 acres with picturesque landscaped parklands, flowing lagoons and over three kilometres of snow-white sandy beaches.

The Angsana resort has an abundance of accommodation options from the chic resort-based Laguna rooms, right in the centre of the action, to palatial private villas that offer sumptuous décor and secluded peace for parents as well as a private swimming pool that children will adore splashing around in.

And while parents may wish to do nothing more strenuous with their day than sip lychee martinis and take treatments at the on-site spa, children will have no trouble finding outlets for their energy at Angsana Tree House Kids Club where an array of exciting activities will be on offer, not to mention twice daily visits from the resort’s impossibly adorable baby elephant, Lucky.

Of course no trip to Thailand should be taken without the pleasure of getting acquainted with the local cuisine, and even those with the most pernickety of palates should find a plate to please at one of the resort's seven restaurants and snack bars. Dining options range from local seafood specialities at the Baan Talay restaurant to healthy versions of children’s favourites at the Tree House Café and light lunches with exotic fruit cocktails at the trendy XANA Beach Club. We can almost taste that martini already…

Luxury family holidays at the Angsana Laguna Phuket start from £965 per adult. For more information visit Kenwood Travel
