Forget Mickey and friends – on your next holiday to Florida, check out Wannado City in Sawgrass Mills, Fort Lauderdale, a fantastic theme park in which children can try out any of 250 different careers, from television director and rock climber to ER doctor and chef. The park is an entire miniature city designed for children and gives children uniforms for their jobs, which they spend between 15 to 40 minutes doing, whether it’s preparing a pizza in a chef’s hat or having a taste of being an airline captain. Children earn ‘wongas’ for their work, which they can either pay into the Wannado bank or spend throughout the city on food or entertainment.
It costs $37 (£22) for children over three, and just $5.30 (£3.20) for adults.
