War Horse

Until February 16, 2013

Nick Stafford’s adaptation of Michael Morpurgo’s War Horse at the New London Theatre follows the energetic and highly emotional adventure of Albert's beloved horse, Joey. At the outbreak of the First World War, Joey is sold to the cavalry. Joey confronts the horrors of life on the battlefield, but Albert is on a determined quest to be reunited with his dearest horse.

The Handspring Puppet Company are the brains behind the highly impressive, life-sized horse puppets. Each equine puppet is constructed from cane, plywood, twine and translucent fabric, and manoeuvred by a team of three actors.
