R is for Raleigh

Formed in 1886, Raleigh’s bikes became a global force thanks to the melding of marketing and machine: the sleek Racer, the rugged BMX Burner and, of course, the legendary Chopper. With its high-rise handlebars and oversized rear wheel, it spawned an army of mini Hells Angels. The world-famous logo is still etched upon a vast array of bikes, from Funtime bikes for little ones to Dirt Jump models for older children. However, to revive your Strika, Burner or Chopper days, you’ll have to visit eBay.
