Joe Drummer: Wacky sticks man
Hi, it's me, Joe
I feel like the lucky recipient of the Golden Ticket: my personal invitation from Stella McCartney to the launch party of her new collection for GapKids. And what a party! There was a welcome of colourful giant cut-out flamingos, rainbow parrots and action heroes followed by jugglers and entertainers, cakes stalls and a coconut shy, and a live animal show. I got to stroke a centipede and cuddle a skunk.
Apparently Stella's dad is a bit of a musician, so, in his honour, there was a rock-star stage set up with mini drum kit, electric guitar and keyboards. So how do I look as a wacky sticksman? Pretty cool, eh? I think Stella and her friend Kate Moss were in the audience watching me. If I don't make it as a footballer, I'm gonna be a rock star!
I chatted briefly to Stella to thank her for the lovely party, but I was in a bit of a hurry to see if I had a winning ticket for the tombola. “You're gonna win!” Stella shouted after me. She was right: I came home clutching an inflatable parrot. Just as well, since they'd run out of goody bags, but maybe that's fate. I'm not so sure I would look good in pink leopard print pyjamas, even if they are by stellar Stella.
love Jx
