Smart boy about town takes to the pitch. But does he score?
Hi. It's me, Joe.
Man cannot live on fashion alone. That's my philosophy. You've got to have football, too – though if you're clever, I reckon you can happily combine the two. Look at David Beckham.
Me and my buddies recently had a match at my school. I've been practising, practising, practising my "trap, step back, kick” technique, but wouldn't you know it, just before kick-off, I got a major injury (the similarities between me and David Beckham are almost kind of spooky!!). Some of us, however, are braver than others, so, after a quick visit to the St John's Ambulance team (thanks, guys!), I managed to play through the pain, albeit in an uncustomary position as goalkeeper. I made two spectacular saves, but the other team managed to nick a sneaky one past me when I was examining my injured knee. We was gutted, we was robbed – and it wasn't even a game of two halves, just a 15-minute runaround.
Joe's wardrobe: West Ham United kit. Bobby Moore is my hero.
