With an eclectic mix of knick-knacks and bundles of nostalgic charm, the family home of Belle & Boo’s Kate Caines is both colourful and calming
“You just stick them on, which is great, because when Robyn is older and wants to replace them with something like a skull and crossbones, we can just peel them off.”
The nursery’s colours are all gentle. “Everyone says babies love bright colours, but we didn’t want it to look overpoweringly garish,” says Kate. “We wanted it to be a calm space, and the colours give it that calm feeling.”
Robyn’s arrival Has been a distinct advantage to Kate in developing Belle & Boo. “When I joined the company I wasn’t a mother, but it has been really interesting being pregnant and suddenly becoming aware of what you and your baby will need,” says Kate.
