Even the family bathroom is not simply a functional space. Grace sponge-painted the side of the roll-top bath in a rich turquoise, then colour-matched the mosaic shower tiles to create a watery effect. A Venetian-style mirror adds a touch of glamour. 

But for all its quirky style, this is first and foremost a family home. Grace and Michael have poured time, effort and love into this place and it shows. “A house should be like a story of your life – not some minimalist void,” says Grace. “Fill it with the people and the things that you love and you’re on the way to having something special.”
