The Bugaboo Runner pushchair is the latest running buggy for active parents, offering stability and safety every step of the way.
Junior was delighted to be invited to the launch of Bugaboo’s latest premium pushchair amidst the verdant green lawns of the iconic Kensington Roof Gardens in London, where we were able to see the new buggy being put through its paces by some pretty fit mum and dads!
The new design turned out to be aptly named the Runner, a three-wheel jogging buggy designed to keep you and baby on the move together.
It’s been created for parents who love to explore and run free, and who want to take their baby with them wherever they go.
The Bugaboo Runner is suitable for babies from 9m+ and features air-filled tyres (16” rear and 14” front), mud guards, a fixed front wheel for a smooth and stable ride, plus an advanced suspension system to iron out any bumps along the way.
Uniquely for a running buggy the seat is reversible, so you can position your child either facing you, or looking out on the world. For extra safety the Runner features a handlebar-mounted speed-control brake, so you can adjust how fast you travel depending on the surface, plus a light fixed-wheel base for easy steering. The handlebar is also height-adjustable to suit different physiques. There’s also a handy storage basket, plus a compact fold system so that it fits neatly in a car boot.
The new Runner will be available from Summer 2015. The clever people at Bugaboo have given parents two buying options: for the complete jogging pushchair (including chassis, seat and adaptors) it is priced at £583, but if you already own a Bugaboo Cameleon 3, Bugaboo Bee (2010 onwards), Bugaboo Donkey or Bugaboo Buffalo Seat* (visit the website for suitability and recommended use of seats) you can simple add a Runner chassis (Including adaptors) to convert your existing pushchair to a jogging stroller for £349.
