Rachel Stevens, singer, WaterAid ambassador, mother of two, and expert member of the Junior Design Awards 2014 judging panel, has taken on another role, this time as ambassador for Dettol's latest charity campaign.

The campaign warns against the risks of bad bacteria potentially harbouring in baby blankets, as well as highlighting the blanket shortage for infants born to disadvantaged families.

Rachel helped raise awareness, by donating the first blanket to the cause. Every blanket donated will be hygienically cleaned with Dettol Anti-bacterial Laundry Cleanser and consequently redistributed to families in need. For every blanket donation Dettol will pledge £1 to Sparks, the children’s medical research charity.

For information on where to send your blanket donations and for more details of the campaign visit Dettol online. Collections for donated blankets will run till the end of December 2014.
