The Witches (1990)

Roald Dahl’s classic novel and is just as quirky and creepy on celluloid as it is on paper. When Luke moves to England to live with his grandmother he unwittingly becomes the target of a group of evil witches who want to turn him in to a mouse. Featuring the deft special effects efforts of Jim Henson and the eminently watchable Angelica Huston, this classic film sits just the right side of spine-chilling.
