Brave, Disney Pixar, £14.99, 93 mins

Great Scott! Well, great Scots to be precise – a who’s who of Celtic Hollywood has lent their lilting tones to this heather-hewn Highland caper, including Robbie Coltrane, Kelly Macdonald and Billy Connolly. Fiesty Merida’s determination to defy her family’s wishes leads to a mother-daughter adventure via a Macbeth-esque meddlesome witch. While Brave feels a wee bit underwhelming for Pixar, children wil’ nea be disappointed.
