Enchanted (PG)

Disney pokes fun at itself in this musical, faintly satirical film. Like all Disney princesses, dreamy Gisele (Amy Adams) sings love songs, has an uncanny ability to talk to animals and longs to be rescued by a handsome prince (James Marsden). Unfortunately Prince Edward's wicked stepmother has other ideas and send poor Gisele hurtling - horror of horrors - to planet earth where she pops up through a manhole in Manhattan.

When Gisele is taken in by a Robert, a cynical divorce lawyer who is astounded at Gisele's plan to sit back and wait for Prince Charming to come to the rescue the scene is set for a collision of romantic ideals. And it isn't long before the fairytale baddies come bursting out of the manhole. Our heroine also falls into a lifeless state after biting into a poisoned apple and can only be awoken by true loves kiss... You can probably guess the rest but that doesn't make this film any less enjoyable.
