Aliens In The Attic
Little green men disturb one family's holiday plans
Most children think monsters live in the attic, but in this film all those unexplained noises are down to a group of green-skinned aliens who are plotting – you’ve guessed it – world domination.
The Pearsons are taking a family holiday in a remote country house when they come face to face with an alien crew from the planet Zirkon. The aliens’ tactic is mind control, and after shooting their targets with special plugs, they manipulate them with nifty remote-control devices. But it’s not all bad news. The aliens’ first victim is Rick, Bethany Pearson’s (Ashley Tisdale) obnoxious boyfriend, who has gate-crashed the trip. When the remote control gets into the hands of Bethany’s brother and cousins, they have fun making Rick bend over backwards and hit himself in the face.
And not all the aliens are evil. One little chap called Sparks befriends the children. Using his techie know-how, he knocks up some gadgets to help them fight back.
All in all, the aliens are more funny than scary and the film strikes a note of Gremlins meets ET.
