We love Lanvin

Following in the footsteps of Christian Dior, Marc Jacobs and Jean Paul Gaultier before him, revered designer Alber Elbaz is set to launch a girlswear Lanvin collection. Since we released the breaking news earlier this week, we have discovered that there will be a range of 25 exclusive pieces. The launch of a girlswear collection is perfectly fitting for a label which began life as a childrenswear department; the creation of doting mother Jeanne Lanvin, in 1908.

The above sketch, just released, reveals coats, dresses, jumpers and T-shirts, typically in the finest of fabrics. We can just imagine little lady Suri Cruise or Sarah Jessica Parker's trendy twins, Marion and Tabitha, being amongst their first customers.
