Shoes for schools
Recycle your old shoes with a brilliant scheme from Unicef and Clarks
Now in its fifth year the Shoebiz appeal certainly hasn't been dragging its feet. The concept behind the campaign is simple; bring shoes you no longer wear to a designated Clarks store and the profit made from the recycling goes directly to Unicef. So far an incredible 1.5 million pairs of shoes have been donated which has enabled Unicef to supply 166,000 ‘Schools in a Box’, which contain essential items for children to learn, to 31 countries. So if your shoe closet is full of old boots you haven't worn for years then send them to Clarks to be recycled and help provide an education for some of the world’s most vulnerable children.
