David and Victoria Beckham's ten-year-old son stars in the Burberry Spring Summer 2013 campaign
Romeo strikes a pose, in Burberry
The writing was surely on the wall when he made his debut at number 26 on GQ's Best-Dressed Male list in January 2012. So it was only a matter of time, then, before the romantically named Romeo followed in his famous parents' footsteps to pose in front of the lens. His label du choix? It had to be the quintessentially British brand, Burberry.
The casting of Romeo in the campaign, alongside models Edie Campbell and Charlie France, came about after the style-conscious lad was pictured sporting a Burberry jacket. According to of Burberry's Creative Director, Christopher Bailey, Romeo was "a joy to work with." "We had such fun shooting it and I think that really comes through in the images," he says.
The Beckham family were voted 'Most Stylish Celebrities' in the Junior Design Awards 2011, and Romeo is a staunch supporter of his mother's fashion label. “Romeo is so into fashion,” revealed Victoria Beckahm in 2009. “The other boys are all about going to the beach, but he’s not interested. He’s like, 'I want to go to work with mummy' and he sits there going through the collection. He loves it.”
