Today we are all very tired after last night's excitement at Gucci and Monnalisa that was followed by a magnificent firework display for a saint's day celebration by the banks of the river Arno. Our spirits were soon raised, however, with a treat at the Fendi catwalk show. A very pulled-together collection with some cool checked boyswear and floaty natural dresses for girls in ecru and soft prints. All accessorised with this season's favorite hat, the Trilby in variations of straw and Fendi signature logos.
Woolrich was the second show of the day with smart casual pieces layered over each other and boyswear accessorised with twisted checked long cotton scarves. Day glo socks and flip flops brightened up a mix of natural tones, emerald green, navy and white.
The last catwalk show at Pitti Bimbo was from Calvin Klein who stuck to the signature jeans styling with some surprise shape variations with fullness at the top of pants and bloomer shorts but always a skinny hem to their jeans. Vivid colours included turqouise, hot pink and cornflower blue alongside smarter tailoring in grey, navy and cream.
A quick look around Apartment this afternoon and we loved Anne Valerie Hash for her new draped jersey shapes, the soft print cottons made into scarves and gathered bags and sparkled grey muslin cottons.
