"It is time to get your winter woolies out and start wrapping up for the cold weather!

Lots of layers does not make it easy to get your little one dressed to go out in the cold, so I have found that investing in a thick puffer coat or jacket makes the job a lot quicker. The padded down coats and water resistant fabric keeps them warm and dry and can be easily styled over a long sleeve top or T-shirt. A brand best known for this is Moncler.

Sold in most departments stores as well as online, Moncler offers top quality coats that specialise in winter padded down puffers, and being a skiwear brand it is a great option if your family are hitting the slopes this Christmas. Be prepared to pay top dollar for these, or else wait and nab a bargain in the sale.

For the younger babies a snowsuit is a must, and makes a great Christmas gift! My high street fave, Gap, does a selection from £39.95 in a variety of traditional colours.

Head to John Lewis for some festive prints including this green and gold star print snowsuit - what a great gift! Always buy the snowsuit one size bigger so it can last your little one for the whole winter and, if like me, your baby is tall then opt for a snowsuit with detachable booties!

If you fancy getting festive with your little one while staying fashionable, opting for a red tartan is always a winner. Whether it be a smart tartan shirt paired with corduroys for boys, or a red tartan dress for girls, this trend covers both wardrobes and can be easily found on the high street or in designer baby wear.

Did you know… The Scotland Shop was Shortlisted in the Junior Design Awards 2014 and offers a beautiful selection of tartan fashion for children

Italian brand Il Gufo has been on my radar for a while and has a beautiful section of tartans for girls in both red and blue colour palettes. The red velvet and taffeta tartan dress is the perfect Christmas day outfit for any little princess.

Next also has an extensive selection of tartan shirts for boys. A green and blue number can be carried on for next season.

If you want to take the trend one step further a dapper tartan bowtie is an added extra for your little man this winter; complete with blue shirt for just £11, it is a no brainer!

Your baby’s first Christmas is a super special time so have fun,be merry and enjoy the end of 2014!"

This is such a great resource that you are providing and you give it away for free. I love seeing websites that understand the value of providing a quality resource for free. It is the old what goes around comes around routine.
