Latest GFW childrenswear collection available to buy in store and online at George
Harriet Simons' award winning, winged designs, available now
Headline sponsor of Graduate Fashion Week, George, has this week launched the childrenswear collection designed by the winner of its 2012 Childrenswear award.
Winner, Colchester graduate Harriet Simons, presented her designs via Graduate Fashion Week's first ever catwalk show last year, when all of the 2012 winners were announced. It was the second year the award had been up for grabs. Graduate Kirtsy Watson scooped the prize in 2011 with her urban sportswear designs.
Since claiming her title, Harriet has worked with the designers at George to create a bright and breezy, colourful collection for girls aged 18 months to six years, featuring a varierty of tropical-tone, feathered friends.
The worthy winner has spoken out about the importance of the GFW awards: "Being a supporter of British fashion, I think that events like this really make a difference and I think it's something for all the students to really work for."
Another graduate, Pia Cesnik, has created a more subtle, vintage style range of clothing for girls, alongside the womens and menswear designs created by winners of other GFW categories.
We can't wait to see what exciting designs will be emerging from the class of 2013!
Both girlswear collections are available to buy online and in store now.
