Indulging in an assortment of raspberry and rose chocolates and caramel cups, we spent a delightful afternoon yesterday at the gorgeous Park Lane hotel taking tea with Thorntons.
To celebrate this year’s delicious Mother’s Day range, actress Patsy Palmer joined the elegant tea party. We caught up with her for a quick chat about fashion, motherhood and her favourite magazine... “I have a big collection of Junior magazines at home stacked on the shelf,” she says. “I like to show the fashion pages to my daughter Emilia to inspire her creative side.” At age 38, Patsy is now a mother of four including newest addition, three-month-old baby Bertie. “I had my first child at 18 and there are a million things I wish I had known then that I know now,” she says. “I enjoy spending all my time with the children, walking out with Bertie in the pram and picking the children up from school – I love it.” All four children step out in style thanks to their mum’s great taste. “I like the beautiful boutique shop Caramel Baby & Child in London and American Apparel is great for leggings.”
Thorntons have a fabulous selection of Mother’s Day gifts this year, including cute ‘I Love Mum’ milk and white chocolate cups filled with a smooth truffle centre which, at £2.99, are just right for pocket money budgets. We love the heart-shaped packaging of the continental chocolate boxes and came away with lots of delicious chocolate goodies. We also enjoyed celebrating the Thorntons centenary earlier this year.

Six finalists and their families will join Patsy Palmer for champagne and chocolate tasting in London and the lucky winner will then be treated to a spa and hotel break – with, of course, lots of divine chocolate treats thrown in.
