The Muppets are firmly back in town and this time around the greenest star of it's show, Kermit the frog, is looking super stylish. Throughout the new feature film Kermit has been dressed by American fashion label Brooks Brothers including this rather dapper outfit; a tuxedo worn with white pleated shirt and black bowtie.
His made-to-measure wardrobe was inspired by the pieces designed by the classic label. “Brooks Brothers was the perfect match and fit for me” says Kermit “Growing up as a tadpole in a swamp with 3,265 brothers and sisters, you can imagine that I had a lot of hand-me-downs. I love the fact that these items were made exclusively for me”
Here are a few choice questions that were put to Kermit about his own, swish style...
How important is your clothing to you?
I don't always wear clothing, but when I do I prefer something timeless, classic and expertly crafted.
Did you get a souvenir from the movie?
I did keep my new wardrobe from Brooks Brothers. I haven't had a new tuxedo since the original movie back in 1979.
What are you most thankful for?
The fans; especially the kids who are watching me for the first time.
What style advice would you give the kids?
Wear what makes you smile and feel comfortable. I have skinny legs, skinny arms, and I'm green. So I know that it's not easy picking the right fashion. When you find it, wear it with confidence... It'll put a hop in your step.
