Hi, it's me, Joe.
Duh guddy dun, duh guddy dun, duh guddy dun, duh guddy dun. Ooooh woooh. Ooooh woooh… I've got the theme tune from Dr Who running through my head. I've just been to the Dr Who Proms at the Royal Albert Hall, featuring all the music from my favourite TV programme. The Good Doctor, played by Matt Smith, was there himself (what do you think of my sartorial homage to him? Not bad, eh?) along with his sidekick, my favourite Amy Pond aka Karen Gillan, looking very glam. There was a real live orchestra playing all the songs with flashbacks of Dr Who on huge screens – my favourite was Amy's Theme, when she went back in time and fell in love with Vincent Van Gogh (you know, the guy who painted sunflowers).
It wasn't only the Dr and Amy who were there: there were also daleks (not sure about those new primary-coloured ones that look more like Alessi cheesegraters!), as well as cybermen and really scary vampire brides. They were actually walking through the audience and tapping on people's shoulders. I didn't know that they existed in real life! Now I do, cos I've seen it with my own eyes.
They also showed all eleven Doctors since the TV series began, with the biggest cheer for David Tennant. OKay, so call me a trainspotter but can you name all of them? If you ask nicely, I'll tell you!
Joe's wardrobe: Tweed jacket by La Stupenderia; shirt by Paul Smith; bow-tie borrowed from my sister; Sonic Screwdriver borrowed from Dr Who.
