Joe Blogs kicks off his festival season at the Original Cornbury Festival. And it rocks!

Smart Boy About Town loses himself (quite literally, oh dear) amid the music and mayhem at Cornbury

Hey dudes, it's me, Joe.

Just got back from the Original Cornbury Festival, my first festival weekend of the season and it was rockin'! And there was loads of stuff for groovy kids like me, who maybe are not so much into the music thang, but who just wanna have fun (oh, yes, and Cyndi Lauper was performing on the Friday, and what's all this rubbish about Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!? What about the fellas too, missy?).

We rocked up on the Saturday morning, hotfooting it by train from Marylebone (very fast and convenient) then hopped on the shuttle to the Great Tew Park. THere was something strangely familiar about the guy playing the accoustic set at Caffe Nero, called Passenger – then I realised he was a passenger next to me on the shuttle bus. Small world, man…

So, what about the fun stuff. Well, I loved the Kids' Area where they did some cool circus skills. Also bumped into songstress Sophie Ellis Bextor with her two boys, running in and out the rainbow dragon. While my mummy and sister were watching Deacon Blue, I went off for a little explore: before you know it, mummy had the security guards on alert looking for a lost boy. Just take a chill pill, mummy! We were reunited in no time, and thanks for looking after me, boys.

More of my festival tales coming soon…

Love, Jxx
